About Legno

The journey from Italy to Chicago was a long journey but one that brought the Cirrincione family’s dreams to fruition. They left everything they knew & took a chance at the American dream & they were nothing short of being successful. Ten venues later & over 40 years of industry experience under their belt, they’ve decided to evolve & transform their Suparossa on Central Avenue to Legno Chicago Italian Gastropub.
Legno offers a wide selection of regional Italian entrees from small plates & wood burning Neapolitan pizzas to homemade pastas & an extensive beer & wine list that features vino from across the World, expanding far & beyond their roots in Italy.

Our interior design reflects the significance of the word, ‘legno’, pronounced (LEH-nyoh), which means ‘wood’ in the Italian language. A perfect mix of blended wood tones, exposed red brick & warm glow from the blaze of our wood fired oven creates a cozy & inviting ambiance. Staying true to our roots, we capture the traditionally inspired & impeccable fresh tastes of the Old World cuisine with a contemporary twist.
